Facebook Default Security Settings Leads to Home InvasionAccording to a report by KPLR Teleivsion in St. Louis, a photo posted on facebook led to a home invasion. The victims had posted a picture of themselves standing over a large pile of cash from a settlement. Sometime after the photo was posted, their home was invaded by two armed and masked men asking where the money was. A couple of clicks could have stopped this home invasion. Here are the default photo sharing settings: The facebook default settings allow everyone to see your photo albums. To change these settings, you must go into Account / Privacy to change them. We suggest changing all settings to "Friends Only". If someone who needs them doesn't have access, they can ask you to be a Friend.
